July 2005 The house was very nice and we had a lot of fun. I really want to come back. It is a great place and it has lots of good places to hide. It was such a laugh. Lana Gillah Age 8 The house was very nice and I wish that I was staying here for a longer time. Emmett Gillah Age 10 We had a wonderful time exploring the house and garden. Hope to come back soon The Gillah's, Royal Tunbridge Wells. This house is incredible and I am sure that there is much more to discover here. There are many memories to bring back home with us. Best of all was playing croquet and visiting the hot air balloon museum. I recommend this place to anyone. This is a very scenic part of France with plenty to do and see. Au revoir. Natalie Age 16 August 2005 Here again for our 3rd year. As always a fabulously relaxing holiday at Chateau Neuilly. Very lucky to have nearly 2 weeks of unbroken sunshine. The boys had great fun at Omaha beach every day. I think I will miss the lovely peace and quiet that this place provides. The Inghams and Rattigans, London. Had a lovely time at Chateau Neuilly. We have spent 6 days being Lords of the manor. Also spent many hours around the table in the living room planning our forays. We have been moved beyond belief by what we have seen and frequently welled up with tears.
Had a wonderful dinner at La Flambee but do not order the ‘Cote de Bouef for 2’ unless feeding a family of 6; order medium cooked

What a wonderful week spent in the Norman countryside. The Chateau and grounds were a pure delight. Such exquisite accommodation so perfectly suited to an exploration of Normandy. Highlights of our adventure included Omaha Beach, The American Cemetery, Pointe du Hoc, Utah beach, St Mere d’Eglise, Grandcamp Maisy for moules & frites, Juno beach and the Canadian Cemetery, Luc sur Mer for lunch, shopping in Bayeaux; a wonderful beach day at Fermenvilles between Cherbourg and Barfleur; Barfleur for drinks and wandering about; shopping in Coutance and of course just spending time at Neuilly. Juliet, Shirley and Chris were wonderfully accommodating. Thanks for all your help.
Thank you Julian and Alice

We had lots of fun at the Chateau – lovely countryside with many sites to visit. Great food to be bought at the local markets. Oysters at Honfleur excellent. The children enjoyed the garden, the barbeque was used and the dining table was the right size for 8 adults and 4 children.

A wonderful relaxing time enjoyed by all the family. Delightful wildlife watching. Otters, kingfishers, barn owls, buzzards, kestrels, the list is endless. Beautiful accommodation in such a fantastic setting. We have spent days visiting the landing beaches, museums etc. So much to see so we can’t wait to return. Thanks Julian and Alice for giving us the opportunity.

There is something magical about the Chateau and its surroundings. Perhaps it’s the history that comes with it…or is it the wildlife all around you ? We have witnessed so much locally, it has taken us all by surprise !! It is worth getting up at dawn and taking a walk along the riverbank. The real ‘Tales of the Riverbank’ plus a wonderful sunrise.
A great relaxing location in the heart of the Normandy landing beaches which offer so much. The whole experience is quite moving. And as for the patisseries…..
A thoroughly enjoyable break. Thank you to our hosts for sharing this with us and giving us all a wonderful holiday. Somehow I think we will return if only to watch the swallows’ air display or the kingfisher doing what he does best….fishing.

Our second stay at this wonderful place. The children love the ropes and swings in the garden and the large kids’ room has acted as a great playroom. We have visited St Mere d’Eglise, Utah beach and a great dinner at La Flambee in Isigny.

We had a quiet and relaxing Christmas and wish that we could stay longer. It has been lovely to see stars and be far from the noises of London. We recommend keeping the fire going, sleeping to noon, visiting the fish shop in Isigny and eating yourself stupid at La Flambee.

We’ve celebrated New Year in this wonderful monument, 4 adults (just) + 5 kids. Beaches, food, battlefields, food and more food. Still regret the New Years Eve cigar but we’ve loved the house, the table football. The fireplace is top + the girls (older variety) have enjoyed fagging in its enclosure. We all enjoyed the boot camp with swing but most of all we’ve enjoyed chilling out with good friends doing very little.
Cowans - Kent
What and introduction to Normandy and what a treat to stay somewhere so special. We have been here with the Cowans and spent a week of eating drinking and general merriment. Not to mention learning more about D Day and all that went on here 60 odd years ago - how humbling to think we now experience the freedom they fought for.
Oliver (3) & Alice (20 months) have loved running freely through the house and learnt to hide and seek & sardines in a big way. Weather has not been in our favour and we’ve been grateful for the toys and videos and playroom inside. Would love to experience the Chateau and its grounds in the heat of summer and look forward to returning sometime soon.
